YCMHA 2025 Checking Clinic

YCMHA Checking Clinic will be facilitated by Matt Barron, Aaron Boogaard and Adam Churchill and take place on Monday, September 8/25 at the Mariners Center.

• 7:00-8:00pm classroom session
• 8:30-10pm on ice session

* Mandatory HNS Checking Clinic is required for any new U15 players (U13 moving up to U15 for the 2025/26 season) or any player wanting to play U15 and U18 A/AA levels.  It is not needed for B and C level.  It is recommended that even if you plan to register for non-contact hockey (B/C level), you may wish to take the clinic to be considered as an affiliate player.  

* All players attending the U15 and U18 competitive tryouts MUST have a checking clinic completed PRIOR to tryouts. 

* You only require one clinic so if you've attended one in the past, you do not need to attend a second time.  If you attended a clinic with another association, proof of attendance must be forwarded to YCMHA.  Players must have their Hockey Canada Profile updated with the Checking Clinic to be approved for contact hockey.
